Kernersville’s Lifestyle Boutique Offering Unique Choices
By Gary Jacques
Accent Prone, Kernersville’s lifestyle boutique, was named to describe their customers. They want to be more than just a store offering exciting accent pieces. Accent Prone is something you are and a way of living life.
Their goal is for you to become “Accent Prone”, consistently seeking inspiring accents for your home, yourself, or for others. “Don’t be boring, be Accent Prone.”
Owners Justin and Cheri Lingafelt are a husband and wife team with a passion for furniture, design, and home décor. They opened Accent Prone four years ago in their hometown of Kernersville, enjoying every moment. They combine their backgrounds and eye for design, providing a unique shopping experience.
Justin’s family works in the furniture industry, giving him a rich background in furniture manufacturing and design.
Cheri’s love for jewelry and fashion developed from her father Terry’s jewelry business. Terry has been a tremendous asset in the development of Accent Prone. His deep knowledge in running and growing a business is valuable.
Justin and Cheri focused on entrepreneurship in college. They decided to combine furniture, jewelry, and fashion, blending their expertise together.
Julie Short, Store Manager/Interior Designer, joined Accent Prone in 2013. Julie has a background in the furniture industry and enjoys helping customers accessorize a space. She can assist you by using what you already have or by starting from scratch.
Crystal Martin, Media/Marketing Specialist, joined the Accent Prone team in 2015. Crystal has a background in design and the arts, with an eye for graphics. She enjoys helping customers select the perfect gift for a special occasion. She also loves to photograph current product to display across different media outlets.
Cheri states that the focus is on really great customer service. “We like to have a nice, relaxed environment. We all have a background in design and can help you put a room together.”
Accent Prone has a diverse customer base. They believe that designing your home should be an experience, with unique items that fit your personal style. “We don’t carry your basic pieces. If you like funky, unique pieces, we will have something that you like. Accent Prone has something for everyone.”
Accent Prone offers home décor, jewelry, special clothing pieces, Furniture Market showings at wholesale prices, and unique items. They buy whole furniture market showrooms, offering new pieces at wholesale prices. They scout markets nationwide to find the best products available.
Accent Prone also provides a wide range of fine jewelry mixed with fun fashion items. Customers can find carefully-curated articles of clothing such as tees, scarves, and dresses. Since they are a boutique, Accent Prone only carries a few of each item. This means that your pieces are truly unique.
Accent Prone is a “one-stop-shop” for gifts. They supply noteworthy products, gift cards, and complimentary wrapping. You can have the statement outfit at the next event or the most creative gift at the party.
Your personal fashion sense should be unique to you. Accent Prone is certainly a distinct boutique offering furniture, fashion, and jewelry. They encourage customers to shop small, support local, and truly see the difference.
Accent Prone give back to a lot of local charities. On Small Business Saturday during Christmas, they donate goods to the Salvation Army. Accent Prone is involved with cancer services and many other community organizations throughout the year.
