Tapped into Craft Libations and Victuals: Foothills Brewing Jade IPA

Tapped into Craft Libations and Victuals Foothills Brewing Jade IPA From Spencer: We kick off the year with one of the best beers made in the state! The Foothills Jade is named after the Pacific Jade Hop but also is dry-hopped with Chinook and Citra hops.  This is a dry IPA that has big notes of tropical fruit and pine aromas. Moderate to heavy on the bitterness that pours a nice white cap head. The finish has a peppery mouthful that blends in perfectly with the body. This is how an IPA is made to perfection. Tapped into Craft Libations and Victuals: BULL CITY CIDERWORKS From Tim: Bull City Ciderworks started in Durham (hence the name) but moved their operations to Lexington, NC and started fermenting apple juice in March of 2016. Tapped into Craft Libations and Victuals: Green Man Harvester

Tapped into Craft Libations and Victuals:  Green Man Harvester From Spencer: Green Man is one of my favorite NC breweries located in Asheville. They started brewing craft beer in 1997 and just expanded into a new facility that is called the “Greenmansion”. This month we sampled the Harvester which is Green Man’s own version of the classic “Marzen” style. They brew this beer with “Ale” yeast instead of the typical “Lager” strain of yeast. I feel like this gives a cleaner feel to the beer.  This malty beer has a rich caramel body and finishes with just the right amount

Tapped into Craft Libations and Victuals: Straight to Ale Brewing’s He Ain’t Heffe Hefeweizen From Spencer: Straight to Ale He Ain’t Heffe is produced and bottled in Huntsville, Alabama. This beer is a German style unfiltered Wheat. This hefeweizen is 5% ABV with a slightly banana/clove flavor. Medium bodied with a bubble gum taste that finishes off with a really mild hop presence. Great session beer! From Tim: The Vitamin Sea is a refreshing “sparkling” aWe had this on The Less Desirables and I found it to be a very drinkable hefeweizen. My cohosts questioned as to whether it was
