Cancer has affected nearly all of us in some way, either personally or through the struggle of a loved one. When you and your loyal canine companion get involved with the American Cancer Society Bark For Life, you are helping save lives!
Bark For Life is a dog walk event that gives dog owners (and the dogs that love them!) an opportunity to come together to raise funds to help the save lives and create a world with less cancer. Every dollar you raise will help the American Cancer Society do the most for everyone in every community touched by cancer including those who are currently dealing with a cancer diagnosis, those who may face a diagnosis in the future, and those who may avoid a diagnosis altogether thanks to education and prevention.
This year’s Bark For Life of Guilford County will be on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Country Park in Greensboro, NC. Join us for an unforgettable event where we’ll come together with other canine owners to help save more lives from cancer! Event time: 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM, Shelter # 1.
Pre-Registration fee for this year’s event is $20 per dog (up to two dogs), which includes an event t-shirt for you and a bandana for your dog (along with goody bags for the first 150 canine registrations).  Day-Of Registration will be $25 per dog. (Please note that pre-registration is required to guarantee receipt of an event t-shirt and bandana.)
Don’t have a dog? That’s okay! You are still welcome to come out and enjoy the festivities with us! We have a Human Only registration option as well (Pre-Registration is $10; Day-Of Registration will be $15) which still includes an awesome event t-shirt for you! Plus, if you come out and join us you just might find a furry, four-legged companion to take home with you since we’ll have several local rescue organizations there along with dogs currently available for adoption.
Day-of registration will begin at 9:00 AM and the event itself will kick-off at 10:00 AM.  It will be a day full of fun, vendors, raffles, silent auction, contests, and most importantly, a day full of celebration for our four-legged friends that provide such amazing companionship to us!
