Forces of Wonder at Ambleside Gallery
Photographs of the Himalayan Mountains
The high resolution, large format black and white photos of Himalayan photographer Jeff Botz will be on display at Ambleside Gallery, 528 South Elm Street, GSO, NC, beginning Friday, November 2, and will remain on display through the month of November.
Botz’s photography has been displayed in the Hickory Museum of Art, The Mint Museum in Charlotte, and the Patan Museum in Kathmandu, Nepal. Additionally, his work is in the permanent collection of the Gregg Museum at NC State.
For the Ambleside Gallery display, Botz has paired short passages with the photos to reflect on the spiritual relationship between mountains and humanity and the strength and hope that relationship inspires. He says, “I like to consider these photos to be visual poetry that attempt to convey a message about the wonder of being in the natural environment”. This stunning exhibit will provide unique visual and cultural insights of the Himalayas and the Everest region.
