In regards to one of Greensboro’s exceptional programs, The Triad Health Project is one which started in 1986 providing practical support to those living with HIV/AIDS. I had the pleasure of speaking with Adriana Adams, who is most certainly passionate about her role in the non-profit, community-based organization.

What is the Triad Health Project and the part it plays in our community you may ask? The Triad Health Project, also known as THP, (who partners with The United Way), provides free HIV prevention services, free HIV and STI testing, free education on HIV and STI’s, a dedicated care team of Case Managers working with people living with HIV, food Bank and support for those living in poverty, and a Higher Ground Day Center providing programs and support for those living with HIV.

!, which is a fundraiser hosted by Miss Kitty Litter, featuring music by Jessica Mashburn and Even Olson. Proceeds from the event go to support Triad Health Project and their continued efforts to educate and support our community. The event sold out quickly, but there are in need of volunteers, if interested you can volunteering you can visit, also, you may make donations through the site as well.
